Description

In this 4-hour Practical IT Fundamentals Workshop, we break down the real-world skills every IT professional needs to thrive. Whether you’re brand new to tech or transitioning into IT from another field, this workshop is designed to make sense of the IT world not just from a technical standpoint, but from a practical, workplace-ready perspective.

We start with the question: “What is IT?” not just as a concept, but as a business function made up of real people and defined roles. From there, we move into the nuts and bolts of IT infrastructure, giving you hands-on insights into the hardware, peripherals, and network components you’ll encounter in real environments.

Next, we dive into the fundamentals of operating systems primarily Microsoft Windows 11, while also touching on macOS and Linux so you’re confident navigating, troubleshooting, and understanding what’s happening behind the scenes.

Finally, we explore two of the most valuable tools in your IT toolkit: Google and ChatGPT. Learn how to leverage them effectively to solve problems, support your learning, and thrive as a modern IT pro.

This workshop isn’t just about memorizing facts it’s about learning how to think like an IT professional.
