Hey everybody!

Here in the U.S., Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial beginning of summer. The weather is warmer, summer vacation is just around the corner, and while some folks only pay attention to the BBQs and fun festivities surrounding Memorial Day, its roots go a bit deeper.
The holiday was originally known as Decoration Day and started after the Civil War to honor the Union and Confederate dead. It wasn’t until after World War II that the holiday gained a strong following and national identity, and it wasn’t officially named Memorial Day until 1967.
Wherever you are, we hope you will take a moment this weekend to remember the brave men and women who sacrificed everything in defense of their nations. There is no greater proof of one’s love than to lay down one’s life for friends, family, country, or culture.

Good luck and have fun!
