We found a flash drive that we think CyberCorp was using to transfer secret documents. Unfortunately, they deleted all traces of the files on the disk (or so they thought). Can you recover the name of the folder they deleted?

Antisyphon Cyber Range: No Foolin’!

Posted on April 12, 2023August 29, 2023 By

Hey everybody!

Last time we released a bunch of challenges, we took it easy on you. Not this time. This week the challenges have point values between 250 and 500 point each, and are an even split between crypto and forensics. No foolin’!

For screenshots and descriptions of this week’s additions, see below.

Good luck and have fun!
The Cyber Range Team

P.S. If you’re not already signed up for the BHIS Antisyphon Cyber Range, the following page has screenshots, info, and, of course, a link where you can sign up and join in the fun:

My mother told me to never pick up strange flash drives.
Unlike in the previous challenge of this series, the exponent d, is kept secret (as it should be)! See if you can decrypt this RSA message now...
Can you guess, derive, or brute-force the key?
Your state lottery has recently begun selling tickets online for their new game, but their random number generator that they use every month has been leaked. They don't think it's an issue because none of the secret keys were compromised, but you know better. Go win the lottery!
Do you feel lucky?
Our security experts have identified that our Exchange server has been infected by the LightNeuron malware. We recommend starting off by reading ESET's report to learn more about how the malware works. Our incident response team has uncovered the following info so far, but we need your help to finish their analysis.
Hiding secrets in images. Tricky…
